With the year fast closing in,
our plans for the 2007 Motorcycle Show are in full swing. We will
have a great booth this year and will be promoting the full spectrum
of speedway in Canada, from the bikes to the schools. We will need
assistance for this and an e-mail will soon be sent to all members
for their scheduled booth working times.
The 2007 season is in planning
mode as well, we will be continuing to improve the growth and
implement newer effective things into the events that the CSRA
sponsor.If you have any ideas that you feel would be a real asset
to the sport and events, we would love to hear from you! As our next
meeting is not until Jan 2007, you can please send them to us here
Kyle Legault has returned to
Canada after his very successful 2nd year with the Sheffield Tigers.
He raised his point average up and proved that his role in British
speedway will be a progressively successful one. Kyle will be
enjoying a rest over the Christmas break, before getting back into
the training for next year. We look forward to seeing him at the
Motorcycle Show in 2007!
Bobby Richards is now back
home with his family, a long way from being fully fit and healthy,
but under the circumstances of his horrendous crash, he will be at
home for Christmas. We send him our continued best wishes!

CRUMP HANDS IN
TRANSFER REQUEST BELLE VUE owner Tony Mole has given
Poole permission to open negotiations with want-away World champion
Jason Crump. He had issued a 'hands off' warning to interested
clubs until Crump submitted a formal transfer request which has now
arrived. Mole said: "We have to look after our own interests.
That means getting a good deal because we will need the money to
strengthen our side for next season.”
BULLDOGS NAME TWO
READING have completed the signings of Matej Zagar and
former favorite Danny Bird for next season's Elite League campaign.
In addition, the Bulldogs have announced that the majority of
their home fixtures in 2007 will take place on Fridays.
Co-promoter Jim Lynch said: "We have a team in mind that we
want, and every member of that team is being spoken to."
MAJOR DEAL FOR
PANTHERS PETERBOROUGH have landed their first major
team sponsorship deal for several seasons by linking up with MRI
Overseas Property. The company's Chairman Darragh Macanthony is
also the new Chairman and likely owner in the future of Peterborough
Utd FC. Macanthony said: "I am very excited that we have created
this partnership and I am looking forward to seeing the team defend
their title next season."
ADAMS IN NEW WOLVES
DEAL PETER Adams, the most successful manager in
speedway history, has agreed a new deal to stay with his beloved
Wolverhampton. Adams, who has won three league titles with the
Monmore club, will also continue as co-promoter alongside club owner
Chris Van Straaten. Said Van Straaten: "There is no better man
for the job that Peter and I would like to think we will be
side-by-side at Monmore Green for as long as I am there.”
BRUMMIES NAME DUO
BIRMINGHAM have signed Brent Werner and Emiliano
Sanchez to start their team-building. Werner suffered an
injury-hit 2006 with Mildenhall and Sanchez was a regular with
Sheffield. Both will ride at Perry Barr in the club's comeback year
after a 20-year absence. Brummies chief Graham Drury said: “This
is a very solid start to our team building and I'm also close to
completing a deal for our number one rider.”
HOLDER STAYS
PREMIER CHRIS Holder has turned down the chance of a
full-time move into the Elite League with Poole. The talented
Australian wants another season in the Premier League and he could
be set to return to the Isle of Wight. Poole co-boss Matt Ford
said: “Chris is a world champion in the making and our fans will
just have to wait another 12-months before seeing him in action for
us.”
