Reason to Race Speedway: Raced motocross, flat track, TT, street stocks and 360-cubic inch sprint cars, but never SPEEDWAY bikes. After just one night as a spectator at Champion Speedway in 1999, plans to race speedway were underway! Lane and his son, Joe "The Hitman" Heitmann, made their racing debuts in the 2000 season.
