More hot weather in Auburn and for some
reason, most of the night, the track was downright dusty.

Faria and Brant were first out of the gate, but Mike found more grip on the
inside than Scott and edged into first place. Scott remained on the outside,
which just seemed to get more and more dusty, as first Bobby Hedden then
Bart Bast got past him. Scratch
