Carson City Raceway @ Fuji Park Speedway May 21, 2005

The weather was much kinder to the second speedway event at Carson City than the first. More local rider support was accompanied by a better crowd.
The track started out a bit wet and slippery but was significantly better than the last time and by the end had a good consistent surface, which enabled a number of very good races.

Again, Bobby Hedden retired with engine problems. Double winner Bart Bast acnowledged that the track was "1000% better" than last time.

It is hoped that by July 2 the word of the improved track surface will get around and a better rider turn out will materialize.
This in turn, plus the fact that by July there will be tourists in the Lake Tahoe area, will hopefully supplement the crowd.
