Auburn ’s second event of the season brought a consistent racetrack, a fairly good crowd, but a smaller turn out of riders than opening night. Billy Janniro demonstrated again what it takes to be a National Champion in the Scratch Main, ahead of a very fast Tommy Hedden. Just the same as last week the Handicap Main was won by Ben Essary.

Tonight was the first round of the Challenge Elimination Series. Despite the presence of experienced veterans, Hedden and Venegas, the final two remaining challengers were youngsters Kenny Ingalls and Ben Essary, which Essary also won. What a great start to the season for this aspiring young rider.

Charlie Haines again proved his experience by winning the second division main with Steve Levotsky and Tori Hubbert crossing the line side by side for second place.

For the second consecutive week, the Division 3 main was won by Colfax’s Dustin Berdollt after a good battle with flat-tracker Mark Legara.
