C-final: Golenya, Szegvari, Stefani L, Vida (ef)
B-final: Magosi, Fekete, Szatmari, Bence
A-final: Nagy, Stefani A, Adorjan, Hell

Some comments:
Robert Nagy is in good form before Thursday's WC Continental semi final in
Olching, but Zoltan Adorjan was not too impressive, so he will has to show
significant improvement if wants to qualify for the Continental final in
other semi in Gdansk. Third Hungarian rider in the WC is Sandor Tihanyi,
who did not take part in Gyula, because had suffered some kind of
infection after a clash at previous weekend league match in Polish
Extraleague. It is doubtful whether he can start on Thursday in Gdansk.

Championship standig after 3 of 6 Rounds:
                    1. 2. 3.   Sum
 1. Robert Nagy     14 17 17    48
 2. Attila Stefani  17 14 14    45

A see-saw match at Oxford on a typical British summer evening - light
drizzle, wind, torrential rain, and sunshine. And a controversial last
heat decider, when Screen cut in ahead of Tesar, leaving him high dry
and stranded on the boards. Considering the rapidly changing track
conditions, the riders aquitted themselves well in an interesting
match.

I don't think Simon has an email. But I'm quite sure he would apreciate our
support. Heh... You never know when this sh*t is gonna hit You.

Has someone any possibility to contact Simon and give him our strong wishes
to get well soon?

Heat  1 - Sam Tesar ; Kaj Laukennen ; Todd Wiltshire ; Ales Dryml ; 59.8
(1-5)(1-5)

Wiltshire on the wrong line on the slick track and Laukkenen passing on lap
3

Heat  2 - Ales Dryml ; Jesper Olsen ; Kevin Doolan ; Lukas Dryml ; 61.2
(3-3)(4-8)

Easy win for Dryml with Lukas almost making it up to him on thge 2nd corner

Heat  3 - Andy Smith ; Jan Staechmann ; Steve Johnston ; Glenn Cunningham ;
60.3  (3-3)(7-11)

Tape to tape win

Heat  4 - Joe Screen ; Lukas Dryml ; Jason Lyons ; Kevin Doolan ; 61.3
(5-1)(12-12)

Excellent ride from Lukas to beat the 'best rider not in the GP's'. Lyons
kept the pressure on Lukas but his line was perfect

Heat  5 - Kaj Laukennen ; Steve Johnston ; Jan Staechmann ; Sam Tesar ; 60.7
(3-3)(15-15)

Pretty straight foward win for Kai

Heat  6 - Jason Lyons ; Todd Wiltshire ; Jesper Olsen ; Lukas Dryml ; 60.3
(2-4)(17-19)

Heat  7 - Joe Screen ; Andy Smith ; Glenn Cunningham ; Ales Dryml ; 63.9
(3-3)(20-22)

Started raining at this point and Ales drifted on the last lap while in a
comfoerable 3rd to allow Glenn through

Heat  8 - Kaj Laukennen ; Lukas Dryml ; Jan Staechmann ; Kevin Doolan ; 65.7
(3-3)(23-25)

Getting very very wet now and Laukennen was superb coming round the outside
of the Oxford pair in great style

Heat  9 - Steve Johnston ; Jason Lyons ; Jesper Olsen ; Jan Staechmann(F) ;
64.3  (3-3)(26-28)

Jan losing it into the 1st corner with Johno winning by a mile

Heat 10 - Todd Wiltshire ; Lukas Dryml ; Andy Smith ; Glenn Cunningham ;
64.3  (5-1)(31-29)

Another great start and racing line from Lukas to follow the improving Todd
home

Heat 11 - Sam Tesar ; Kaj Laukennen ; Joe Screen ; Ales Dryml ; 62.9
(1-5)(32-34)

Screen missing the start and never reeally able to look like passing on a
track not condusive to good racing by now

Heat 12 - Andy Smith ; Lukas Dryml ; Jesper Olsen ; Steve Johnston(Fx) ;
62.9  (2-4)(34-38)

1st Mickey Mouse decision by the ref. Johno falling after touching Olsen
into the 1st bend. Given the wet conditions an obvious restart for me, but
my opinion doesn't count a jot. Super ride from Lukas to split the BV pair

Heat 13 - Todd Wiltshire ; Sam Tesar ; Jason Lyons ; Joe Screen ;
(3-3)(37-41)

Joe falling at the back while chasing hard. Disappointing to see a few Belle
Vue fans cheering him as he hit the deck (Yes, I saw you Rob)

Heat 14 - Jan Staechmann ; Jesper Olsen ; Lukas Dryml ; Kevin Doolan ; 62.5
(4-2)(41-43)

Very good ride from Staek, passing Olsen where there appeared to be no room.
Lukas gave it everything to pass Olsen but Olsen got out of shape and Lukas
had to shut off.

Heat 15 - Joe Screen ; Todd Wiltshire ; Kaj Laukennen ; Sam Tesar ;
(5-1)(46-44)

I guess the 2nd dodgy refereeing decision from a BV point of view. But I'm
writing from an Oxford point of view so I don't care. Tesar made the start
and was taken wide by Screeny, I guess he had no choice to shut off allowing
Todd through but looking at it the other way he should never have been
riding in the meeting in the first place. I reckon we deserved a bit of luck
after the stupid decision on the Mismanagement Committee.

A pretty dull meeting to be honest on a very slick un Oxford like track. Now
I know Bryn won't be happy with me for slating the BSPA but what the hell
was the logic ion allowing Sam Tesar to guest for Belle Vue. He only rode at
Oxford 4 days ago and 4, yes 4 other clubs were not riding tonight. If he
was not good at Oxford maybe we wouldn't have been so angry but he scored 13
points on Friday and came in for a 6.8 average rider (I know he is under
though). It is fundementally wrong that a group of self interested promoters
can make a conscious decision to screw up one of there peers in the
Purchase's. If they could contact any rider (which they claimed) then they
should have used Rider Replacement. More likely reason for not getting a
guest is that they wanted cash !! It is wrong to allow a club to blatantly
flaunt the rules to another's disadvantage. Sorry if this is being negative
but its meant to be !! They are making a total mockery of the sport by
allowing selective use of the rules. Only a few weeks ago we were denied
permission to use Lawrence Hare at Poole because of the 7 day rule. Where is
the consistency ??? Rant over

For Oxford, Todd came good after a slow start, R/R produced 3 points so did
us no favours, Johno wasn't at his best but was done by a poor exclusion.
Staek is improving and won his first race at Cowley this season, Joe was a
better guest than I expected. Oxford never seems to be his best track and we
go and prepare a slick one for him as well (Doh !!). Ales Dryml is getting
better week by week and was on the pace and I hope there is some people out
there who need to admit they were wrong about Lukas Dryml. Phrases like
'couldn't beat PL reserves' and 'dreary' were used. Lukas is looking a very
good rider and is almost up to his starting average.

For Belle Vue, Tesar was good value and a little unlucky, however he should
not have been riding. Laukkenen was as normal at Oxford superb and has to be
one of the best value visitors to the track. Smith done his job and Lyons
was OK when he gated but looked clueless from the back, albeit it was
difficult to pass. Olsen was a good choice of guest and Doolan and
Cunningham were off the pace. Its a shame to see Glenn come to Oxford and
struggle because he still has manty friends at Oxford.

So on the back of a fine win Oxford do not ride at home again until 14 July.
Now there's good business isn't it, middle of the summer and no speedway,
not the fault of the promotion though.
