Subject: Wolves v Kings Lynn - report
Date: Mon, 17 Jul 2000 22:49:22 +0100

Wolves 47 Kings Lynn 43

Another excellent team performance as Wolves beat the league leaders, to
record their 10th successive match unbeaten (9 wins + 1 draw). Kings Lynn
took the bonus by 4 points on aggregate.

Heat 15 had to be awarded after a horrific accident for Jason Lyons, who
crashed coming out of the 4th bend of the 1st lap after Ronnie Correy went
into the bend too hard and caught Jason. It looked really bad, but Jason was
able to walk away, and later praised the Wolves safety fence for saving him
from further injury. (Are you listening Kelvin Tatum - and one or two
others?!) The race was awarded due to substantial damage to the fence and
possibly an electric fuse box.

Lyons was good value for his 10 points and gave 100% effort. Star of the
show for Wolves was Adam Skornicki, who treated us to 2 "Donut" displays -
what a star. His score of paid 11 included an excellent win over Leigh
Adams. Jesper Jensen and Ronnie Correy both turned in solid performances,
Nicki Pedersen tried hard for little reward, Roman was as spectacular as
ever grabbing those vital 3rd places, Wayne won Heat 2 easily then had 2
tough rides against the Lynn top 4.

For the Knights, Crump was excellent, very quick, Adams was not far behind,
but the support was poor. Boyce faded badly after a good start, while the
rest were generally poor, especially Shane Parker. Obviously they are a good
side and their home form is superb, but I still think they have a lot of
work to do away from home to win the league. On tonight's form, I'm not
convinced... explain to me how they got 58 at Ipswich again?...

Entertaining match, another great result for Wolves.

All the best, Mark.
