Sheffield drew away in last couple of heats.

simon Carwright their trump card with wins in heats 12 & 14.

Engine probs galore for Adrian Newman Ray Morton suffered an ef whilst
leading the final race.

Big crowd, great racing and Sheffield just about deserving their win.

Subject: Where's Kevin Doolan ?

Can anyone in the UK tell us whether Kevin Doolan has quit/ been
released / dropped/ rested from the Belle Vue team and whether there is
any word of a move to a Premier League Team.

Can't believe he's been dropped. John Perrin was quoted as saying that =
he would only be left out of the Belel Vue team if he was given =
permission to go PL. Has this happened ?

Subject: Reading Speedway (LIVE website updates)
Date: Sun, 13 Aug 2000 20:20:54 -0000

The Reading Speedway On-Line website has extended it's service to now =
cover LIVE updates for HOME matches.
Up until now the service has only been available for away fixtures, but =
the webmasters are pleased to announce the service has now been extended =
to cover home matches as well, starting with Reading's home match vs. =
Arena Essex on Monday 14th August.

The service for the Arena Essex fixture will be a exercise that if all =
goes well and gets the expected good response will continue for the =
remainder of the season and beyond.

The service will work the same way that it has for away fixtures all =
season so far. I will ring somebody from trackside, who will then update =
the Live Updates Board with latest scores and news from each meeting.

The website will be updated as normal sometime after each meeting when =
the webmaster returns home.

So for all exiled Racers fans who are unable to get down to Smallmead =
each week, catch the latest scores on the website first as they happen.

Follow the links from the homepage or fixtures page.

Subject: Tomasz Gollob didn't start to-day!
Date: Sun, 13 Aug 2000 21:18:37 +0300

Hi, All -

Tomasz Gollob was entered in Bydgoszcz team for the Polish Elite Lreague's
play-off match of
to-day v. Gorzow.

He didn't statrt in none of his scheduled heats and the Bydgoszzcz team
manager intended to use him, as having a total ofpoints equal zero, in the
heat 13, reserved for the weakest riders from both teams.

Also in that heat Tomasz didn't start and official reason given to the
public was "Machine problems". May be...

Now it is not clear, whether Tomasz will be able to tak part in the Polish
Indivoduial Championship scheduled for the coming Tuesday, or not. It seems
that he will miss also this prestigeous . event, for the doctors' opinion
was for a longer rest outside of the track...
