Well summer has really arrived now in Northern California. After a week of 100+ degree days in the Sacramento valley even Auburn, tucked up in the Sierra Foothills was hot last night. Despite this, the track was smooth, consistent and provided plenty of close Speedway racing.

Scratch Main
1. Mike Faria
2. Bobby Hedden
3. Bart Bast
4. Scott Brant
Although Bobby Hedden had looked extremely fast when he beat Mike Faria in his scratch semi-final, then going on to dominate the handicap main, he was not as fast as Mike out of the gate, and despite a Trojan effort, riding the outside, he could not catch him. Bart Bast held off Scott Brant for third.

Scratch Consi
1. Chris Manchester
2. Chad Felicio
3. Tommy Hedden
4. Eric Carrillo
As ever, super smooth Chris Manchester won this from the gate.

Handicap Main
1. Bobby Hedden
2. Tommy Hedden
3. Eric Carrillo
4. Bart Bast
5. Chris Manchester
6. Scott Brant
Probably the best race of the night. Eric Carrillo looked like he had it in the bag until Bobby Hedden found traction riding the outside and moved his way past the entire field . On the last lap his brother Tommy did the same thing, to finish second.

Handicap Consi
1. Ivan Sevart
2. Chad Felicio
A real non-event. Mike Faria Rich Marcucci were non starters. First Billy Hiles, then Greg Hooten Jnr fell down, leaving Ivan and Chad to their match race.

Division 2 Main
1. David Fonts.
2. Bill Hermant
3. Robert Mellor
4. Brian Leventon.
5. Rachalle Kerr
6. Jon Curry
David Fonts has been a consistent competitor at Auburn moving up from Division 3 last season. Steady riding provided this win from the 0 yard line, which will no doubt be rewarded with a 10 yard handicap next week. Jon Curry, on the other hand, starting back on the 30 yard line, rode an outside line, which looked like it was going to work, until he hit the wall.

Division 2 Consi
1. Jay Heidt
2. George Snodgrass
3. David Baker
4 Mike Browne
5. John O'Connell
6. Derek Silva

Division 3 Main
1. Richard Christian
2. Kelly McBain
3. Jason Botsford
4. Lee Sharp
5. Dino Blankenbiller
6. Dennis Chandler
7. Kim Stevens
8. Kevin Feriera
No Alan Christian this week, but son Richard held a steady line to take the win and convince at least the announcer Mike 'Roon-Dog' Rooney that he is ready for a Division 2 ride. Not bad in less than 2 months into his Speedway racing career.

Division 3 Consi
1. John Deathrage
2. Mike Achilles
3. Steve Lewotsky
4. David Lee
5. Rick Gutzke
6. Treggan Mullenix
7. Kimi Valentine
8. Derek Shepherd

Youths Division 1
1. Danny Easley
2. TJ Fowler
3. Alex Marcucci
4. Mark Carrillo
5. JT Mabry
6. Paul Johnson

Youths Division 2
1. Mitchell Johnson
2. Bruce Bast
3. Ricky Felicio
4. Jay Ricketts
5. Tom Fuhrman

Youths Division 3
1 Hunter Morris
2. Ronnie Woodsford
3. Tori Hubbert
4. Bryce Olney

This week there will be some Speedway demonstration races on July 4, before the firework display. On July 5 there will be the return of the Speedway Sidecars and the annual backwards race, in addition to the regular program.
