Following an unusually high number of crashes last week, the promoter gave all riders a serious talk about safe riding during the riders’ meeting. But the evening was marred by an accident involving Division 2 veteran rider, Glenn Scott.

From where I was sitting, Glenn looked to be the victim of anther rider’s unsafe riding. As of this morning Glenn is still in hospital with broken ribs, a punctured lung and a broken collar bone.

In addition to being a keen rider Glenn is a generous sponsor to a number of other riders. American Speedway depends heavily on people like Glenn.

I wish him a fast recovery.
