Eddie Martinez and Charlie Venegas get ready to push off for the main. Billy Janniro and Shawn McConnell prepare for the main. The Industry medical crew had a wonderful night of nothing to do! Madison Immediato, Joe Jones, the lucky lady from the audience that won a sidecar ride, and Jeff Immediato are all smiles after her four laps at speed on Joe’s rig. She did outstandingly well. Perhaps she’s another Brandi McElroy in the making.

No Speedway venue in SoCal has a larger, easier to see American flag than the Grand Arena, in the City of Industry. Riders Meeting Prelim: How hot was it Wednesday afternoon? 200cc rider Shea Bendykowski became even more popular after his dad delivered a jug of cold water and ice. One hundred degrees! Does Ryan Evans ever miss a Speedway race in SoCal? Our energetic SoCal Speedway Editor serves Speedway in so many other ways, the whole infrastructure might collapse without him.

It was Harley Night at the Grand Arena, and we tried to tell Bruce not to anger the large man with the horns, but did he listen? No!
Fortunately, Med Event had a Team on hand to un-gore Bruce in time for the races.
2010 National Champ #1 Billy Janniro had his hands full trying to out race a lean, mean #43 Charlie Venegas Wednesday night. In Event 3 - turn three - it was close formation and full speed ahead. Support Event 1A: #175 Jake Myers leads the traffic in turn three. Brad Moreau rides close alongside, while #311 "Rip" Fife takes the outside line. Following Myers (partially obscured) is #316 Kip McClain.

First Div. Last Chance (restart): #11 Bobby Schwartz takes off from the pole next to #46 Aaron Fox. In three it's #14 Eddie Castro and #41 John Marquez launches from the wall. Castro won a ticket into the Main Event. First Division Main Event: Captain Methane missed the start, but as Lap 1 ends, #43 Charlie Venegas has a half a wheel's lead over a hard-charging Billy Janniro. "The Edge" stretched his lead with an impressive win over the fiesty 2010 National Champ. Celebrating the night's win with the 2010 Grand Arena Track Champion are his mechanic Eddie Martinez (finger raised) and Bobby Schwartz's son in the red ear protectors. The rest of 'em are Charlie's!

Former National Champion Charlie "The Edge" Venegas won all five of his races including the main event on Harley Night at Industry Speedway.

Venegas lined up in gate one next to defending National Champion Billy "The Kid" Janniro who was making his first appearance at Industry Speedway in 2011. Venegas entered the main event unbeaten while Janniro had only been beaten by Venegas earlier in the evening. Janniro left the line first after the tapes went up and leaned on Venegas and muscled into turn one with the lead. Janniro got off the groove ever so slightly and Venegas pushed his way past to take the lead. Venegas held a comfortable lead while Janniro tried frantically to make up ground. All his efforts would go in vain as Venegas went on to victory. Janniro had to settle for second, last week's winner Jimmy "Little Animal" Fishback was third, Shawn "Mad Dog" McConnell finished fourth, and "Fast" Eddie Castro was fifth.

Faria kicked off the heats with a win over Castro. Bobby "Boogaloo" Schwartz was victorious over Fishback in event two. Venegas ended round one with a hard-fought victory over Janniro who did everything he could, including consistently putting his front tire inside the pipe, to try get past.

Venegas started round two by beating Schwartz for his second straight win. McConnell beat John "Mongoose" Marquez in event eight, but only after a made a jaw-dropping save when he lifted in turn four on the first lap. Janniro finished the second round by beating Fishback.

Janniro opened the final round with a win over Aaron Fox. McConnell held off Fishback for his second consecutive win. Venegas ended the heats by beating Castro to remain the only undefeated rider.

Janniro won the first semi and transferred to the main along with McConnell who finished second. Venegas made it four victories by winning the second semi with Fishback following him into the main event. Castro won the Last Chance to fill the final spot in the main.
Rocco Scopellite led from start to finish and claimed victory in the Second Division Main Event for the third time this season. Brandon Leedy finished second, Jake Myers was third, and Tim McGrath finished fourth.

Craig Sprecher, mounted on a two-valve Jawa, was victorious in the Third Division Main Event. Paul Thornton was second, Rick Howard finished third, and Rick Huspek was fourth.

Nicholas Varner claimed victory in the Youth 200cc First Division Main Event for the third time at Industry Speedway this season. Broc Nicol was second and Dalton Leedy finished third.

Shea Bendykowski led all four laps en route to victory in the Youth 200cc Second Division Main Event. Gino Scopellite was second, Sebastian Palmese finished third, and Michael Wells was fourth.
