AMA National Champion Billy “The Kid” Janniro ran through the card unbeaten and won the Scratch Main Event on Military Appreciation Night at Industry Racing.

The Scratch Main Event had Janniro in gate one, Dillon Ruml in gate two, “Battling” Buck Blair in gate three, and “Mad” Max Ruml in gate four.
Janniro and Max Ruml were off the starting line ahead of Dillon Ruml and Blair and the two swapped lines in turn two as Janniro swept up to the deep outside line and Max Ruml cut back to the inside. Janniro found more traction in the cushion and gained control of the lead on the back straight. Max Ruml searched high and low to get himself past the leader. One of his forays to the outside allowed his brother to slip by for second. Janniro crossed the finish line first, Dillon Ruml was second, Max Ruml finished third, and Buck Blair was fourth.

Dillon Ruml used a great cutback move to take the lead and the win in the first heat. Max Ruml defeated Jason Ramirez in the second heat. Janniro won the third heat with reserve rider Mike Dalbey getting second. Charlie “The Edge” Venegas beat Blair to end round one with a win.

Dillon Ruml started round two by defeating Russell Green. Max Ruml held off Broc Nicol for his second straight win. Janniro beat Venegas for his second win in a row. Blair finished the second round by defeating Gage Geist.

Nicol opened the final round of heat by beating Venegas. Dillon Ruml remained perfect with a win over Shawn “Mad Dog” McConnell. Blair beat Luke Becker in the penultimate heat. Janniro blazed to victory over Max Ruml in the final heat to match Dillon Ruml’s perfect score.

Max Ruml made a great move in turn two to split his brother and Venegas to take the lead. Max led the rest of the way with his brother following him in to the main event. Janniro and Blair finished one-two in the second semi and transferred to the main event.

Nicol was victorious in the Scratch Consolation with Venegas getting second, Geist finishing third, and Ramirez coming home fourth.

The Second Division Main Event required three starts to complete. On the second attempt last week’s main event winner, Braden Sauer, was injured and had to be transported to the hospital. It appeared that Sauer aggravated a lower body and leg injury suffered last year at Pirate Speedway. On the third attempt Ron Davis led before Nathan Siegel took over the lead. Dalbey, who started from the penalty line after causing a red flag on the first attempt, weaved through the traffic and passed Siegel for the lead on the third lap. Dalbey raced away with the victory from there. Siegel held on to second, Rick Richards was third, Ron Davis finished fourth, and Brad Moreau was fifth.

The Third Division Main Event may have featured the most action of the entire evening as all four competitors held the lead at some point. Thomas Rishton led at the start but fell in turn four and handed the lead to George Yates. Steve “Beach Ball” Brown passed Yates for the lead as they took the white flag. Brown’s lead didn’t last long as Lewis Hughes made the final pass on the back straight to take his third straight victory. Brown was second, Yates finished third, and Rishton was credited with fourth.

Northern California’s Landon Norton led the Junior 250 Main Event for a lap but Sebastian “Big Daddy” Palmese ripped through the field in wholesale fashion from the 50 yard line and was second. Palmese dispatched Norton and took the lead on the back straight. Palmese cruised the rest of the way to take the victory. Jake Isaac finished second, Michael Wells was third, Norton finished fourth, James Blair was fifth, and Dylan Wagner was credited with sixth.

The Mini 150 Main Event included four Northern California racers. Enzo Sorani was the initial leader and held that position for two laps. Sterling Martin took over the lead as they entered turn one the third time. Sterling Martin never looked back from there and raced away with the win. Slater Lightcap finished second, Alex Martin was third, Luke Whitcomb finished fourth, Logan Hedden was fifth, and Sorani ended up sixth.

Levi Leutz led the Pee Wee Main Event for two laps but Travis Horn went by as they entered turn three the third time. Leutz stretched his lead with each remaining lap and took the win. Leutz finished in second, Richard Stephens was third, Charli LaMere finished fourth, and Gavin Dryfka was fifth.
