Industry Racing - July 8, 2015

Aaron Fox returned to Industry Racing after two weeks away and was victorious in the Scratch Main Event on Haddick’s Towing Classic Car Night.

“Mad” Max Ruml was unbeaten entering the main event and chose gate one with the first pick of starting position. Fox had second choice and selected gate four. Dillon Ruml took gate two which left Shawn “Mad Dog” McConnell with gate three.

Fox made an electric start and trapped from his outside starting position. He didn’t leave much doubt after the first corner and maintained a comfortable lead throughout the race for the victory. Max Ruml finished second, Dillon Ruml was third, and McConnell finished fourth.

“Battling” Buck Blair kicked off the evening with a win over Gage Geist. Tyson Talkington defeated Dillon Ruml in event two. Max Ruml beat Rocco Scopellite in the third heat. Fox finished the first round by beating Broc Nicol.

Russell Green started the second round with his first win. Dillon Ruml passed Blair to take the win in event 14. Max Ruml defeated Fox for his second straight win in the next heat. McConnell ended round two with a victory.

Fox opened round three by holding off Blair for his second straight win. Green made it two wins in a row by defeating McConnell. Nicol beat Scopellite to get himself into the semis. Max Ruml beat his brother to end the heats with a perfect score.

Fox and Dillon Ruml finished one-two in the first semi and transferred to the main event. Max Ruml won the second semi with McConnell getting second to join him in the main.

Blair was victorious in the Scratch Consolation with Nicol finishing second, Green getting third, and Talkington coming in fourth.
Sara Cords led from start to finish and was victorious the Junior 250 Main Event. Sebastian “Big Daddy” Palmese finished second, Jake Isaac was third, Michael Wells finished fourth, and James Blair was fifth.

Charlie Trana was the early leader of the Mini 150 Main Event. Trana was comfortably in front before Slater Lightcap moved up to second. Lightcap cut into Trana’s lead and was chasing him down as they entered the final corner. Trana hugged the inside line while Lightcap went wide. They drag raced to the finish line and Lightcap beat Trana to the finish by inches. Sterling Martin finished third, Luke Whitcomb was fourth, Alex Martin finished fifth, and Dakota Shockley was sixth.

Travis Horn started 50 yards back but chased down the competition and won the Pee Wee Main Event. Levi Leutz was second, Richard Stephens finished third, Conner Salazar was fourth, and Cole Ayers was credited with fifth.

Joe Jones and Tom Summers raced through the program unbeaten and took home the Sidecar Main Event victory. Bryan Motis and Josh Bennett were second, Robert Curry and David Dent finished third, and Jeff Rowe and Ashley Gibbons were fourth.
