There were so many good races, that I am sure many others present will disagree with me, but for me the best two were the scratch semi-finals. In both cases, the winners, Bart Bast and Mike Faria were safe winners out in front, but the best race was behind that. Jim Sisemore and Louis Kossuth had a race long battle in one, and Charlie Venegas and Billy Janniro went at it in the other. In both cases, positions changed several times throughout the race. The track was in superb shape which enabled plenty of overtaking all evening long. The Handicap Main was especially good, with pretty much each of the 6 riders leading, at some stage.
