Fair Night

Last Thursday, at the local county fair, there was a one night Speedway event at Red Bluff, which is a long way north of what is generally referred to as Northern California. For that reason I was not able to make it. Apparently there were about 30 riders, half of which were third division and the other half were first and second division, so the first and second division riders were combined. I talked to a number of second division riders who got carried into the first corner at first division speeds, hence did not really have that great an evening!

I am told that the gaps between races made Auburn look slow! Without having 2 races running at once, I am not quite sure how that could be done. They did manage to run 24 races in an hour and a half.
