The opening of Empire Speedway, which was originally targeted for June 3, will have to be pushed back due to delays in track construction. We will have more information soon. Sorry for any inconveniences.

EMPIRE SPEEDWAY TO REOPEN

At this stage it looks quite likely that Speedway Racing will return to Empire Speedway in Brewerton, New York for the first time in 21 years this summer. We were there this past Sunday and work has begun to get water drained off the track from a plugged drain-line. If things continue to come together financially we will have at least a six-race season at the former facility that helped make up the very popular East Coast circuit of the late 70's and early 80's. Empire Speedway was one of the original Big Three tracks, along with Champion Speedway in Owego and the Genesee Speedway in Batavia.
