The remainder of the 2003 Speedway Motorcycle racing schedule at Orange Show Speedway has been canceled. We are confident the I.E. remains a viable location for a Speedway Motorcycle racing program. Contrary to what some have said, the Orange Show Event Center and Orange Show Speedway management are awesome to work with. Even Costa Mesa Speedway has had a tough year with an Opening Night rained off, an unusually cold Spring and an overall loss of attendance resulting in financial losses. Orange Show Speedway was losing in excess of $8,000.00 per event. We did a lot of advertising and knew it would take time to draw good numbers and secure sponsorships but, the 750 fans we drew each week was totally underwhelming!
We are guilty of bad timing and too high expectations and it bit is hard. No more and no less!
