From Gary Roberts
World Champion Greg Hancock made his first appearance at Auburn since he
moved to England, nearly a decade ago. Auburn was one of the tracks that
Greg learned to ride on, when he was a member of the California Junior
Speedway program. This visit, he left his mark by winning the scratch
main event. Could this be an indication of what may happen when Greg
returns on September 25 for the AMA National Championship?
A large crowd turned out to see Greg's win and to enjoy a night of good
racing. Apologies for the sketchiness of some of the results and again,
I emphasise, these are not the official results, just what I managed to
scribble down in between all the fast action.
