The Extreme Sidecars made their first of five appearances at Fast Fridays on Friday June 3. To say they were enthusiastically welcomed to the tricky dirt oval at the Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn would be a huge understatement. The place was packed at near capacity and when they rolled onto the track the place just came exploded with applause and cheering.

Five teams from Northern California brought their 1000cc three wheeled chariots to Auburn with the sole purpose to win the sidecar main event and put on an exciting show for their Fast Friday's faithful fans. And exciting show it was. The five teams were Smylie Kinne and Chuck Heider, Lawrence McNutt and Dana Miller, Robert Curry and Laurie Curry, Larry Bell and Sammy Tetrault and Wade Boyd and Eric Lindauer. The teams ran three heat races and then the grand finale main event to close out the night. Wade Boyd and Eric Lindauer set the bar pretty high with a excellent win in the first heat. Robert and Laurie Curry nailed the second heat. The Lawrence McNutt/Dana Miller team took the third heat as they headed to the main event. From the inside lane the team of Boyd and Lindauer on their first time at Fast Friday's put the hammer down for the win. Curry/Curry were second and the team of Kinne/Heider were third. The teams all did a great job and really put on a great high energy program. See them again on July 1 for round two.

Billy Janniro has struggled a little at Fast Friday's in week one and week two but he let it be known Friday night that he's going to be the man to beat this season. In the scratch program the ten time AMA National Champion won his heat race and in a great race semi-final race took second behind Gino Manzares. But in the main event Janniro made it clear about his ability to win a race. With a good gate Janniro got out front and just laid into it, never looked back and never let off. No one was able to pass Janniro and he led all the way to the finish line ahead of Manzares who was second. Tyler Warren was third and Russell Green was fourth.

In his first appearance at Fast Friday's this season and one week ago getting married Tyler Warren made a dramatic impact winning the handicap main event. Handicapped on the 30 yard line, Warren won his heat race, was second in his semi-final and then won the main event. Rees Todd was second and Rheten Todd was third.

In Division II Marc Denniston picked up his first main event win of the season. In a tight race he edged out John Peters who finished second. Dean Newnham was third. Proving that old guys really do rule Tim Rott, for the second week in a row, won Division III main event. At sixty-two years old Rott made it look easy again this week riding off the 20 yard line. Ray Holt Jr. Jr. was second and Sebe Denniston was third. Seems like Rott will be checking out the dirt on the 30 yard line next week. Chase Kangas found a way to keep Charlie Trana at bay putting together a win in the Youth 250 main event. After finishing second and third to Trana in the first two weeks Kangas turned the tables and Trana was second to Kangas in the main event. Darren Armbruster was third. Seems like a great rivalry is developing in the Youth 250 division between Kangas, Trana and Armbruster. Wesley Rearick won the Youth 150 main event after two third place finishes in week one and two. Rearick finished ahead of his little brother Riley Rearick who was second and Joyce Eller was third.
